RECALLS & COMPLAINTS

  • Report Receipt Date
    09-05-2007
  • NHTSA Campaign:
    07V399000
  • Summary:
ON CERTAIN VEHICLES, THE WHEEL SPEED SENSOR HOUSING USES AN O-RING SEAL TO PREVENT LEAKAGE TO OR FROM THE WHEEL BEARING. IF ASSEMBLED IMPROPERLY, THE O-RING MAY NOT SEAL PROPERLY ALLOWING WATER TO ENTER THE WHEEL BEARING AND EVENTUALLY CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE BEARING, ESPECIALLY IN AREAS WHERE USE OF ROAD SALT IS PREVALENT. IF THE DRIVER CONTINUES TO DRIVE WITH THIS CONDITION IT IS POSSIBLE FOR THE WHEEL BEARING TO BECOME LOOSE, WHICH COULD CAUSE THE BEARING TO FAIL.
  • Consequence:
THIS COULD CAUSE A WHEEL TO FALL OFF OF THE VEHICLE, POSSIBLY RESULTING IN A CRASH.
  • Remedy:
DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE REAR ABS SENSORS AND WHEEL BEARINGS FOR DAMAGED PARTS AND REPLACE THEM FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON SEPTEMBER 25, 2007. OWNERS MAY CONTACT HONDA AT 1-800-999-1009.
  • Report Receipt Date
    09-05-2007
  • NHTSA Campaign:
    07V402000
  • Summary:
ON CERTAIN SEDAN AND HYBRID (CNG) VEHICLES, DURING ASSEMBLY, THE TELESCOPIC STEERING COLUMN MECHANISM MAY HAVE BEEN OVER-LUBRICATED WITH SILICONE GREASE. OVER TIME, SOME OF THIS EXTRA GREASE MAY DRIP ON THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH CAUSING THE SWITCH TO FAIL.
  • Consequence:
FAILURE MAY RESULT IN A LOSS OF BRAKE LIGHTS AND AN INCREASED RISK THAT THE VEHICLE COULD BE STRUCK IN THE REAR. IN ADDITION, A FAILED BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH COULD PREVENT SHIFTING THE TRANSMISSION FROM THE PARK POSITION (VEHICLES WITH AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION).
  • Remedy:
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH AND INSTALL A PROTECTIVE COVER OVERTHE SWITCH FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON OCTOBER 2, 2007. OWNERS MAY CONTACT HONDA AT 1-800-999-1009.
  • Report Receipt Date

  • NHTSA Campaign:
    07V512000
  • Summary:
ON CERTAIN COMPRESSED NATURAL GAS (CNG) VEHICLES, IN THE EVENT OF A SEVERE INTERIOR FIRE IN THE AREA OF THE REAR SEAT, THE CNG TANK MAY BE HEATED UNEVENLY, PREVENTING THE PRESSURE RELIEF DEVICE FROM VENTING THE CONTENTS OF THE TANK AS DESIGNED.
  • Consequence:
THIS COULD RESULT IN A TANK RUPTURE, EXPLOSION, AND EJECTION OF THE TANK FROM THE VEHICLE.
  • Remedy:
DEALERS WILL INSTALL A HEAT INSULATOR MATERIAL TO THE REAR SEAT BACK. AN INTERIM OWNER LETTER WAS MAILED TO OWNERS BEGINNING NOVEMBER 26, 2007. WHEN PARTS ARE AVAILABLE, OWNERS WILL BE RENOTIFIED ASKING THEM TO BRING IN THEIR VEHICLE FOR REPAIR. OWNERS MAY CONTACT HONDA AT 1-800-999-1009.

THIS HAS HAPPENED AT LEAST TWO DOZEN TIMES AND STARTED HAPPENING SOON AFTER TAKING DELIVERY. AT APPROX 400 MILES CAR WAS TAKEN INTO DEALER AND DEALER WAS ABLE TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM ON MY VEHICLE AND ALSO REPRODUCED THE PROBLEM ON OTHER NEW CIVICS ON DEALER LOT. DEALER RESET PCM AND PERFORMED IDLE RELEARN PROCEDURE. THIS DID NOT RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. DEALER REPORTED TO HONDA ENGINEERING AND THEY HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF ISSUE AND OFFERED NO ADVICE. ADDITIONALLY AT APPROX 600 MILES AFTER CAR SAT UNUSED ALL DAY AND WHEN ATTEMPTING TO START LATER THAT NIGHT, THE CAR DID NOT START ON FIRST ATTEMPT. ON SECOND ATTEMPT AND AFTER CRANKING LONGER THAN USUAL FOR STARTUP, THE CAR STARTED ROUGHLY WITH A JOLT AND RAN ROUGH (CAR SHAKING) FOR 3-5 SECONDS. *TR

SUN VISORS SPLIT IN HALF. ONCE THE VISORS ARE SPLIT, THEY WILL NOT HOLD A "TUCKED UP" POSITION, BUT RATHER WILL HANG DOWN AND OBSTRUCT THE DRIVER'S VISION. THE PROBLEM IS CHRONIC AND THERE IS NOW A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT THAT HAS FORCED THE VEHICLE MANUFACTURER TO EXTEND THE WARRANTY ON THE SUN VISORS. HOWEVER, THE BROKEN VISORS ARE BEING REPLACED BY ANOTHER VISOR WITH THE SAME DESIGN DEFECT. AFTER A BRIEF PERIOD OF USE, THE NEW SUN VISOR ALSO FAILS. THE VEHICLE MANUFACTURER NEEDS TO CREATE A NEW DESIGN WITHOUT THE FLAW AND REPLACE THE OLD DESIGN WITH THE NEW DESIGN AT THE MANUFACTURER'S EXPENSE. *TR

EXCESSIVE NOISE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS CAUSED ME TO ASK DEALER ABOUT THIS AS ONE SHOP STATED REAR SHOCKS WERE WORN AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. DEALER PRINTED OUT SERVICE BULLETIN 08-001 WHICH EXPLAINED THE PROBLEM ABOUT REAR TIRES CUPPING AND IMPROPER UPPER CONTROL ARMS BEING INSTALLED WHEN MANUFACTURED. DEALER HAS NOT SAID COST OF INCORRECT PART IS COVERED, AND I WILL HAVE TO BUY TWO NEW TIRES, REPLACEMENT COST OF BOTH UPPER CONTROL ARMS AND FOUR WHEEL ALIGNMENT. THIS IS A MANUFACTURING ERROR ON HONDA'S PART AND CONSUMERS SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BEAR THE COST OF PART AND TIRE REPLACEMENTS. AMERICAN HONDA SHOULD RECALL AND REPLACE. MANY BONA FIDE COMPLAINTS ON THIS FAULT, WHICH CONTRIBUTES TO PERSONAL AND VEHICLE SAFETY. MOST OWNERS ARE UNAWARE OF THIS PROBLEM! *TR

HOPE YOU ARE WELL. I AM A PROUD OWNER OF A 2007 CIVIC LX COUPE 1.8L 4 CYLINDER THAT I HAVE OWNED AND LOVED SINCE 9/28/09. IT’S MY DAILY DRIVER AND OFTEN TIMES MY LIFELINE. WHILE DRIVING OUT OF MY NEIGHBORHOOD TWO DAYS AGO I NOTICED MY TEMPERATURE GAUGE WAS RISING QUITE QUICKLY. I PULLED OVER TO CHECK MY FLUIDS (AS I JUST CHANGED MY OIL AND TOPPED OFF MY FLUIDS ON 2/14/18) AND NOTICED I WAS VERY LOW ON COOLANT. MY VEHICLE WAS OPERATING NORMALLY THE NIGHT BEFORE. MY FIRST THOUGHT WAS A COOLANT LEAK SO I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO WEIR CANYON HONDA IN ANAHEIM HILLS FOR A DIAGNOSIS. THE MECHANIC LOOKED AT MY OIL AND IMMEDIATELY DETERMINED THERE WAS COOLANT IN MY ENGINE AND SIGNIFICANT BUILD UP. I WAS NOTIFIED THAT THERE WAS A TSB #10-048 AND #SB-08-044 FOR MY VEHICLE. I WAS TOLD THAT SINCE I AM 5 MONTHS PASSED MY 10 YEAR WARRANTY, THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO FOR ME. MY ISSUE IS, HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS? WHY DIDN’T HONDA SEND ME A NOTICE ABOUT THIS EXTREME ISSUE? AS PER THE REQUIREMENTS, MY VEHICLE NEEDED TO MALFUNCTION WITHIN 7 YEARS FOR THE WARRANTY TO BE IN EFFECT, TO ONLY BE EXTENDED TO 10 YEARS DUE TO COMPLAINTS FROM LOYAL CUSTOMERS. AND YOU ALSO NEEDED TO HAVE THE PROBLEM, PAY FOR IT, THEN FIGHT FOR REIMBURSEMENT. I AM AT MY WHITS END OF WHAT TO DO AT THIS POINT. AND TO WHOEVER READS THIS, I AM IN NO WAY ANGRY AT YOU PERSONALLY AT ALL. I KNOW KINDNESS IS HARD TO COME BY THESE DAYS. I JUST KNOW THAT THIS KIND OF PROBLEM I HAVE USUALLY ONLY GET ADDRESSED IN GOOD FAITH AND I AM HOPING YOU CAN HELP ME OUT. I DELIVER FOOD FOR A LIVING AND RIGHT NOW, I AM COMPLETELY UNABLE TO WORK SO I’M STRESSED OUT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME. HERE IS A LINK TO MANY OF THE PROBLEMS I EXPERIENCE. I SEE NO REASON WHY I SHOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE PARTS, SINCE I CONSIDER THE PROBLEM TO BE A FACTORY DEFECT. THE CAR HAS A SIX SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION. THROTTLE LAG. IMMEDIATELY UPON PURCHASING AND DRIVING THE HONDA CIVIC EX 2007 THERE WAS A DELAY IN RESPONSE FROM PRESSING THE ACCELERATOR TO INCREASING THE ENGINE'S RPMS. THERE WAS A DISTINCT DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE CAR THAT WAS TEST DRIVEN AND THE CAR THAT WAS PURCHASED. THE DEALER ORIGINALLY ACKNOWLEDGED THE THROTTLE LAG BETWEEN THE TWO CARS. THEY CONTACTED HONDA CANADA AND WERE TOLD TO PROPERLY "BREAK IN" THE ENGINE. THIS CONSISTED OF LUGGING THE CAR IN FIFTH GEAR (MANUAL TRANSMISSION) UP A HILL FOR APPROX 100 KILOMETERS. THEY FELT THAT THE ENGINE WAS TIGHT AND THAT THIS MIGHT HELP THE THROTTLE LAG PROBLEM. IT DID, MARGINALLY. FURTHER CONTACT WITH HONDA CANADA WAS MET WITH A RESPONSE THAT THROTTLE LAG WAS A CHARACTERISTIC OF THE CAR AND THE DRIVE BY WIRE THROTTLE SYSTEM. APPARENTLY THROTTLE LAG IN DRIVE BY WIRE IS NOT UNCOMMON AND THERE ARE SOME AFTER MARKET PARTS (SPRINT BOOSTER) TO HELP THE PROBLEM BUT NOT FOR HONDA AND THEY ARE ONLY AVAILABLE IN EUROPE. THE DEALER SUGGESTED THAT PERHAPS IT IS A SOFTWARE ISSUE BUT NO SOFTWARE FIX HAS BEEN AVAILABLE THROUGH HONDA CANADA. THERE IS MOST DEFINITELY A PROBLEM BETWEEN THE SENDING AND RECEIVING UNIT IN THE DRIVE BY WIRE SYSTEM. THIS PROBLEM IS MORE PRONOUNCED IN SOME CIVICS THAN OTHERS. ALTHOUGH MINE IS PRONOUNCED, HONDA CANADA DOES NOT SEE IT AS A PROBLEM. IT IS MOST OBVIOUS ON A STEEP HILL WHERE YOU MUST USE THE HAND BRAKE TO KEEP FROM ROLLING BACKWARDS AS THERE IS APPROXIMATELY A ONE SECOND DELAY BETWEEN THE TIME YOU PRESS THE GAS PEDDLE AND THE ENGINE RESPONDS. ALSO IF YOU TAP THE ACCELERATOR WHILE DOWNSHIFTING THE RPMS WILL NOT INCREASE AT ALL. *TR

I BOUGHT MY NEW '07 CIVIC LX FOUR WEEKS AGO. WHEN I TURN ON THE AIR CONDITIONER ON LOW: IT CONSISTENTLY CYCLES (A VERTICAL FAN NEAR THE ENGINE) AND MAKES A VERY LOUD CLICKING NOISE EVERY SEVEN SECONDS (LIKE DROPPING A MARBLE ON A PIECE OF METAL). THE NOISE CONTINUES--WHETHER THE CAR IS STOPPED OR MOVING--AND SEEMS TO GET LOUDER AND LOUDER; TO THE POINT WHERE OTHER PASSENGERS IN MY CAR ARE HEARING IT (EVEN IF I HAVE THE RADIO TURNED ON). THE ONLY WAY TO STOP THE NOISE IT TO TURN THE FAN SPEED TO HIGH--SO THE "VERTICAL FAN" NEAR THE ENGINE CONTINUOUSLY RUNS (DOESN'T TURN ON AND OFF). THE NOISE DOESN'T OCCUR WHEN THE HEATER IS TURNED ON. I TOOK MY CAR TO THE AUTO DEALER: THE FIRST TIME, THE MANAGER DIDN'T HAVE THE A/C INSPECTED--TOLD ME THAT IT'S NORMAL. A WEEK LATER, I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER A SECOND TIME: THEY CLAIM TO HAVE "COMPARED WITH LIKE VEHICLE"..."AIR CONDITIONER OPERATING AS DESIGNED BY HONDA." (THAT'S WHAT WAS WRITTEN ON MY CUSTOMER COPY REPAIR INVOICE.) MY AUTO DEALER NEVER SHOWED ME THE "LIKE VEHICLE" TO PROVE TO ME THAT--THE CONSISTENT LOUD NOISE--IS A NORMAL PROCEDURE. HAD A FLAT TIRE TWO TIMES WHEN OUR CAR TOUCHED THE CURB. THE CAR WAS TRAVELING BELOW 10 MPH WHEN THE TIRE TOUCHED THE CURB. BOTH THE TIMES THE EDGE OF ALLOY WHEELS OF MY HONDA CIVIC CUT THROUGH THE TIRE EXACTLY AT THE POINT OF THE PRESSURE. THIS HAPPENED TWICE. WE ALSO HAVE A HONDA ACCORD AND THIS HAPPENED A FEW TIMES BUT NEVER HAD A FLAT TIRE. THE WHEELS ARE STOCK WHEELS AND EDGES OF THE WHEELS ARE NOT CURVED OUT AS MOST OF THE VEHICLES HAVE THEM. SINCE THE EDGES ARE NOT CURVED OUT THE WEIGHT OF THE CAR ALONG WITH THE UNCURVED EDGES CAUSES THE TIRE TO BE CUT. *TR

MANY TIMES, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE WEATHER IS COLDER, THE MANUAL TRANSMISSION WILL POP OUT OF THIRD GEAR/GRIND/OR WILL NOT EVEN ENGAGE IN THIRD. THIS IS DANGEROUS, ESPECIALLY IN HEAVY TRAFFIC OR WHEN TURNING A CORNER BECAUSE IT CAUSES A QUICK DECELERATION AND THE PERSON BEHIND YOU CAN'T ANTICIPATE THAT YOU ARE GOING TO SLOW DOWN SUDDENLY BECAUSE THERE IS NO BRAKING INVOLVED. NOT TO MENTION, AFTER THIS OCCURS, THE ENGINE REVS DUE TO THE MISSED GEAR, AND YOU HAVE TO QUICKLY SHIFT INTO SECOND OR FOURTH GEAR TO GET GOING ONCE AGAIN. THIS IS A HIGH RATE PROBLEM AND CAN BE PROVEN WITH A SIMPLE WWW SEARCH- IT IS ALL OVER THE INTERNET CAR FORUMS AND EVEN HAS BEEN REPORTED BY EDMUNDS.COM. SOME PEOPLE SAY THEIR DEALER IS REPLACING THE TRANS FLUID AS A FIX AND IT HELPS, OTHERS ARE DOING IT AT THEIR OWN EXPENSE BECAUSE THEIR DEALER REFUSES TO ASSIST. MY LOCAL HONDA DEALER HAS REPAIRED OR REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION 3 TIMES, STATING THIS IS A CHRONIC PROBLEM WITH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS ON CERTAIN MODELS OF HONDA FOR 2001. THE PROBLEM HAS NOW RECURRED AT 65,000 MILES. THE MANUFACTURER IS FULLY AWARE OF THE DEFECT WHICH REPEATEDLY MANIFESTS ITSELF OVER THE LIFE OF THIS VEHICLE. THE DEALER WAS FULLY AWARE THE PROBLEM WAS PRESENT ON THE CAR WHEN I BOUGHT IT. HOW LONG WILL NHTSA ALLOW THE MANUFACTURER TO IGNORE A SERIOUS DEFECT AND LET A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS CONDITION CONTINUE? JUDGING FROM THE NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS LISTED ON YOUR WEBSITE, THE PROBLEM IS FOUND ON A SIGNIFICANT NUMBER OF 2001 HONDAS EQUIPPED WITH AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. SINCE THE DEALER HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM, EVEN WHEN REPLACING THE TRANSMISSION, I BELIEVE THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD RECALL THE VEHICLE AND PROVIDE A REDESIGNED TRANSMISSION TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. OTHERWISE THESE VEHICLES WILL BECOME MORE DANGEROUS AS THEY AGE. *TR

THIS PROBLEM RELATES TO THE 06-08 CIVIC SI'S, I HAVE AN SI) S2000'S, RSX'S ACCORDS AND ANY CARS WITH A HONDA 6 SPEED TRANSMISSIONS. THIS IS IN REGARDS TO GRINDING AND POPPING OUT OF GEARS, ALONG WITH A GENERAL "NOTCHY" FEEL. THIS PRIMARILY HAPPENS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS COLD, HOWEVER IT STILL DOES HAPPEN WHEN THE VEHICLE IS COMPLETELY WARMED UP. *TR

I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE A FEW MONTHS AGO, AND RECENTLY (WITHIN THE LAST FEW WEEKS) HAVE NOTICED THE TRANSMISSION 'SLIPPING' OR NOT ENGAGING PROPERLY. IF IT WERE A CENTRIFUGAL CLUTCH (MECHANICAL) IT WOULD BE DESCRIBED AS NEEDING ADJUSTMENT TO LET THE ADJUSTMENT 'OUT' AS TO BETTER ENGAGE THE CLUTCH TO THE POWER SOURCE. SINCE IT IS A CVT, I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THERE IS NO ADJUSTMENT AVAILABLE, AND REPLACEMENT IS NECESSARY. MY INCIDENT: I WAS DRIVING HOME, WHICH TAKES ME THROUGH ABOUT 33 MILES OF A WINDING HILLY ROAD. THERE WAS A SLOW DRIVER, HOLDING UP ABOUT 6-7 CARS, OF WHICH I WAS PLACED NEXT TO LAST (ONE BEHIND ME.) THERE IS A PASSING LANE THAT WAS APPROACHING, AND WHEN WE REACHED THE PASSING LANE, THE SLOW-POKE PULLED OUT TO LET US PASS. THE SLIPPING OF THIS TRANSMISSION WAS ALMOST A KILLER-AS WE (ALL OF THE TRAILING CARS) SPED UP TO PASS (ALL WITHIN APPROPRIATE SPEEDS, CLEARANCES, ETC). I HAD JUST STARTED TO ACCELERATE, WHEN THIS !@#$% SLIPPING BEGAN, AND I WATCHED AS THE TACH WENT TO ALMOST RED-LINE, BUT THE CAR DIDN'T GAIN ANY SPEED-IT STAYED AT ABOUT 35-36 MPH, WHICH WAS THE SPEED WE WERE GOING WHEN THE PASSING ATTEMPT STARTED. THIS WAS ALLEGEDLY A PROBLEM IN EARLIER YEAR MODELS OF THE SAME VEHICLE, BUT I AM NOT SURE IF THE CAUSE WAS THE SAME. IN ANY CASE, THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS DEVELOPMENT, AND I WANT IT FIXED. MY CAR IS UNDER WARRANTY, AND I WILL DRIVE IT TO A HONDA DEALER IN THE NEXT DAY OR TWO, BUT I DO NOT WANT ANY TROUBLE GETTING THIS PROBLEM CORRECTED. ALSO, SINCE THE FIRST NOTICED OCCURRENCE, I HAVE NOTICED THAT THIS IS OCCURRING ALMOST EVERY TIME I TRY TO ACCELERATE. SOMETIMES IT FEELS MINOR, BUT OTHER TIMES IT JUST TACHS UP TO 4,5,OR 6 GRAND, WHILE NOT INCREASING SPEED AT ALL. I HOPE NO ONE DIES BEFORE I CAN GET THIS TO THE DEALER.....ESPECIALLY MY WIFE, OR MYSELF! *TR

THE MECHANIC NOTICED THAT THE TIRES HAD UNEVEN WEARING AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO GO TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE CONTROL ARMS AND ALL FOUR TIRES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER WILL COVER THE COST FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE CONTROL ARMS, BUT NOT THE TIRES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 19,660 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 19,860.

CAR WAS PURCHASED NEW IN MARCH OF 2007. I IMMEDIATELY NOTICED THAT WHEN DRIVING 60 MPH OR MORE ON THE FREEWAY, THE CAR SEEMED TO SWERVE AND WAS VERY HARD TO KEEP IN THE LANE. I'VE DRIVEN HONDA CIVICS AND OTHER SMALL CARS FOR MORE THAN 20 YEARS SO THIS WAS VERY UNEXPECTED. I TOOK THE CAR TO A LOCAL DEALER WAS TOLD THAT THE TIRES WERE FINE AND THAT THEY SAW NO PROBLEM WITH THE CAR. I CONTINUED TO NOTICE THE DIFFICULTY IN STEERING THE VEHICLE UNTIL THE BRIDGESTONE FACTORY TIRES WERE ROTATED AT 6000 MILES. MOVING THE TIRES SEEMED TO DECREASE THE PROBLEM SO I AGAIN MENTIONED THIS TO THE DEALER. THEY AGAIN CHECKED ALL TIRES AND ASSURED ME NO PROBLEM EXISTED. SIX THOUSAND MILES LATER, ANOTHER ROTATION AND ONCE AGAIN THE PROBLEM STARTS OCCURRING AGAIN. THE DEALER CHECKED TIRES AGAIN AND STILL CAN FIND NO PROBLEM. I THINK THERE IS A DEFINITE PROBLEM WITH SOME OF THE BRIDGESTONE TIRES THAT COME WITH THESE CIVICS. *TR

I PURCHASED A 2007 HONDA CIVIC 5SPD EX IN MAY OF 2007. EVER SINCE I PURCHASED THE CAR I HAVE BEEN HAVING TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS WITH IT. AT TIMES WHEN I AM IN FIRST GEAR AND I UPSHIFT TO SECOND, AS SOON AS I LET OFF OF THE CLUTCH IT WILL POP OUT INTO NEUTRAL AND MY RPMS SHOOT UP. SOMETIMES IT WILL GRIND WHEN I TRY TO PUT IT INTO SECOND OR THIRD AND DOESN'T WANT TO FULLY ENGAGE. WHEN IT DOES FINALLY GO INTO GEAR IT'S REAL ROUGH AND DOESN'T ACCELERATE AT THE SPEED IT SHOULD, IT ACTS LIKE IT DOESN'T WANT TO GO. I HAVE CONTACTED VANDERGRIFF HONDA WHERE IT WAS PURCHASED, AND THEY SAID THAT SOME OF THE CARS HAVE HAD THAT PROBLEM AND THEY CHANGE THE TRANSMISSION FLUID AND IT'S SUPPOSE TO HELP, BUT IF IT DOESN'T THEY MIGHT HAVE TO PULL THE TRANSMISSION OUT AND CHANGE 2ND AND 3RD GEAR. THEY CHANGED MY FLUID AND I AM STILL HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. THEY ARE TELLING ME NOW THAT IT SHOULD HAVE FIXED THE PROBLEM AND I SHOULDN'T BE EXPERIENCING IT ANYMORE. THEY ALSO SAY THEY CAN'T DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. GO FIGURE! I NEED MY CAR FIXED THAT IS THE SOLE PURPOSE OF MY NEW CAR PURCHASE SO I WOULDN'T HAVE MAJOR PROBLEMS LIKE THIS!! MY CAR NOW HAS 15K ON IT AND STILL HAS THE SAME PROBLEMS! PLEASE FIND A FIX SOON!! *TR
